If God is good, why is life hard?
Christian leaders are often asked this question. How do they respond? The people under their care hear all kinds of teaching about this. Some will tell them it's because they haven't given enough money, or they've made God angry, or someone has put a curse on them. These and many other questions are best answered by walking through the whole Bible and seeing God's big story.
Meet Sam
Sam has left his village to find opportunities in the big city, but life has been hard. He hasn't found work, and he even questions his faith. If God is so good, why is life so hard? If God blesses everyone, why does it feel like his life is cursed? God promises to save, but Sam feels burdened. Can he really trust God's word of blessing and rescue, or must he work his own way out of the curse? Sam lives with two friends, Ben and Pete, who have very different oppinions about life and faith. The three of them have joined a Bible study group, where a pastor is walking them through the Bible's big story of salvation. As they discuss the Bible and help Sam get through life, who will Sam listen to? What will he learn along the way?
